Elderly man dies after being hit by two vehicles in Duduza

Duduza - On May 28 at about 8:30pm, an elderly male (age unknown) was hit by a driver of a vehicle along Sonnestraal Road.

According to local spokesman, W/O Imtiaz Yakub Rasool, the driver of the vehicle stopped to assist the victim along with other motorists who also stopped to provide assistance.

“The driver of the vehicle also immediately called for medical assistance and started diverting traffic as the victim was lying in the middle of the road.

“A few minutes later, however, they were approached by an unknown red sedan at high speed and it is alleged that the red sedan driver drove over the victim resulting in his death,” he says.

Rasool says that when the paramedics arrived about 15 minutes after receiving the call, the man was declared dead on the scene.
