Meet the Springs Orlando Pirates executive committee

KwaThema – The Greater Springs Orlando Pirates branch elected a new executive committee last Sunday, at their clubhouse in KwaThema.

The committee was elected by the many branch members who came out to cast their votes for the most eligible executives.

Newly elected chairperson Sipho Hlophe says he is happy that they had a glitch-free election day and everyone in the club is happy with everyone who was elected to the various positions.

“Our previous executive committee has done a marvellous job to ensure that the branch runs smoothly and we remain a family, as people who support the same team,” he adds.

“Now, as a new executive committee, we need to take our branch to the next level and ensure we grow and venture into other projects that will benefit the branch.”

Local member, Molefe Gumede adds that, as members, they look forward to new things in the branch, that will be brought in by the executive committee.

“More than anything we want to see growth and smooth operations in the branch, so we may also be recognised as a branch, just like other branches in our region,” says Gumede.

The Springs Orlando Pirates branch meets every last Saturday of the month, at Marothi’s Pub, which is their clubhouse.

“We’d like to thank Marothi who has tirelessly been supportive, giving us a venue where we can meet and celebrate our victories as Orlando Pirates supporters,” adds Hlophe.
