Competing in the long jump, he managed to leap 5.26m which put him in second position, while gold was snatched by Mpumelelo Mhlongo with a 6.39m leap and bronze was taken by Julius Lesenyeho at 4.68m.

The local star also landed to two fourth place finishes in the men’s 100m and 200m T44 races.

Both T44 races were won by paralympian Arnu Fourie, Mpumelelo Mhlongo took silver and Calvino Cloete came in third.

“Sport is an important rehabilitation tool, one which we have successfully applied in our work with the children.

“Their results emphasises the value of sport to boost awareness, to promote healthy lifestyle, while also giving these children a platform to shine,” says JKSA founder Johan
