Ayoba thrash Kargo Alberto FC

KwaThema – Ace Auto Ayoba’s hopes to remain in the top three on the log were kept alive when they thrashed Kargo Alberto FC 4-1 in the SAB League match on Monday.

Playing at their home ground stadium, the Ayoba players were expected to win as their supporters came in numbers to witness a make-up match after losing3-2 to Highlands FC the previous day.

Striker Samuel Makofane registered the first goal for Ayoba after a hard fought goalless match.

The much anticipated goal was the only goal that came in the first stanza.

Going into the second half, Alberto FC silenced the noisy crowd by getting a goal in 10 minutes after kick-off.

Supporters rooted for their team to keep trying for goals when they saw that Alberto FC meant business this time around.

Ayoba’s Mduduz iMethula sealed a goal to lead the game again after Aberto FC equalized.

Desperate for points after losing a match the day before, Ayoba sought to score more goals before their opponents could equalize again.

Musa Mtimunya was granted a free kick which he used to the teams advantage, extending the lead to 3-1.

Alberto FC players showed their discouragement through the football they played, making it easy for Ayoba to gain ball position and shots on target.

Makofane, who was always on a look out to seize every goal opportunity, squeezed in the final goal for Ayoba ending the match in 4-1 win to them.
