A victory for World XI
KwaThema – The Tsamaya League games kicked off last Sunday at the Tlakula Grounds in KwaThema.
After the Super Eight tournament, clubs were ready to kick-start the league in win.
World XI beat Skoomboys 2-0 in its first league match.
The match proved to be tough as both teams came onto the pitch ready for war.
Skoomboys showed eagerness to win the match as they had the ball position and more shots on target.
Going into the second half World XI had a more strategic plan that would see it getting goals behind the net.
World XI’s Lebo Tsotetsi scored the first goal in what seemed to be a dull match.
After the goal Skoomboys were under pressure to equalise as they saw that World XI were in for a win.
As the teams battled it out in a fast-paced game, fouls were made and Skoomboys’ Sonny Mahlangu received the first yellow card for foul play.
Minutes later Tsotetsi managed to secure yet another goal, ending the game with a 2-0 for World XI.
