Learners receive new jerseys

KwaThema - Learners from Qedusizi Primary School, in KwaThema, benefited from a generous donation on Wednesday.

Local business woman Nthabiseng Morapa (39), donated 15 jerseys to under privileged learners at the school.

She explains that when she was starting her driving school business, she made use of the school’s premises and this donation is a token of appreciation to the school.

“I used to see many learners coming to school without jersey’s during cold weather and it touched me, hence I wanted to make sure that when winter comes, at least they may have jerseys to keep them warm,” she says.

Morapa says she will continue to donate school uniforms to learners from various schools in the community.

School teacher Zanele Molamu says she is happy that residents are making a difference in the lives of school learners by donating uniforms, food parcels and bursaries.

“We appreciate the help as educators because there are far too many children who lack basic needs, but with the help of community members we are able to help those in need” says Molamu.
