Information session for the youth

Kwatsaduza - The Local Drug Action Committee (LDAC), in partnership with government departments and local stakeholders, is calling on unemployed young people to participate in an information session, Operation Rea Ba Shaker.

The session aims to encourage the youth who are currently comfortable with their status of being unemployed and not studying to a platform where information will be given on what is available for them in government and private institutions of learning and skills development centres.

Thabang Xaba from the LDAC says there are too many young people in the community who have given up on life because of the unemployment rate, and as stakeholders in the community they sought to revive the hope of young people.

“We want young people to take advantage of all the opportunities out there which the government and private sector make available to them.

“Hence we want to hold an information session so they know where exactly to go in order to get the necessary help,” he says.

Operation Rea Ba Shaker will take place on Saturday at the KwaThema Hall from 10am until 3pm and the youth of Kwatsaduza are urged to attend the session and be informed.
