Proof of residence needed when renewing car license

Since November, motorists have needed to take proof of residence to apply for a car licence renewal in order to receive their new disk.

According to www.gov.za, motorists who fail to renew their licences every year before it expires will be liable to pay late licensing penalties and arrears.
