Tsakane police spokesperson, Capt Petros Mabuza, says upon coming across the bones, the passer-by called the police and they went to the scene to check it out.
“We suspect that the bones have been in that area for a long time.
“The skeleton was then taken by pathologists at the government mortuary, where DNA testing will be done to try and identify the person and whether it is the remains of a male or female,” says Mabuza.
