Tsakane women give Emndeni a beating

Tsakane – Tsakane Women Football Club whipped Soweto’s Emndeni Oldies Football Club 6-1 in a match played at Michael Mkhwanazi Primary School, in Tsakane Extension Eight, on Saturday afternoon.

While both teams came into the game hungry for a win, at first glance, the Emndeni team seemed tougher.

The first few minutes of the game saw them attacking more than Tsakane, who seemed more relaxed.

Tsakane then turned the game around, scoring the opening goal 15 minutes into the first half .

The goal was scored by Thoko Sikhosana.

About 17 minutes into the match, Thobile Zwane scored the equalising goal for the Emndeni side.

Five minutes before half-time, Thembi Nkosi put Tsakane back in the lead with the second goal.

The second half proved to be more challenging for the away team and they helplessly watched on as the home team shredded them to pieces.

Less than five minutes into the second half, Rihanna Nelson scored the third goal for Tsakane.

In the fifteenth minute, Nkosi struck her second goal for the day.

Three minutes later, Nelson again registered her name on the score sheet.

The sixth goal was scored by Mbali Mkhubele, who thumped it into the net a few minutes before referee Nelisiwe Motsoagae blew the whistle to end the game.
