Soweto derby keeps supporters on their toes

Kwatsaduza - Supporters of Orlando Pirates and the Kaizer Chiefs are waiting in anticipation for Saturday's Soweto derby match.

The game will be played at Soccer City (FNB Stadium) and both supporters of these rival teams say they are ready to snatch the three points and have bragging rights on the day.

Busisiwe Mabhayi Maseko, from the Kaizer Chiefs Supporters Nigel branch, predicts a 1-0 victory for Amakhosi.

“We are ready, we will go support our boys and know that they will make us proud.

“Those who want to join us in going to the stadium on Saturday, can call the chairperson of the Nigel branch, Musa Mthembu, on 083 435 6161. We will leave from Duduza Extension 15.”

Buccaneers supporter, Rangwane Makgabutlane, from the Orlando Pirates Supporters Springs branch, says “#chiefsmustfall.”

He adds that this game will be perfect preparation for both teams, as Pirates prepare for their Telkom semi-final against Chiefs.

“If Chiefs have not prepared well for Saturday’s derby, they should ask our competitors in Africa what we can do.

“We also urge Orlando Pirates supporters to go and support the team.

“I have no prediction of the score, but know that we will win.”
