KwaThema women’s cricket team register another win

KwaThema – The KwaThema women’s cricket team registered their third win in a row after beating the Duduza women’s team on Saturday.

The match took place at Springs Old Boys in Pollack Park.

Karen Woest of KwaThema had 135 runs with one wicket in five overs for eight runs and was the top batsman.

This was Woest’s second century in two weeks.

Bathabile Mabena went on to score 115 runs with six wickets in five overs for 13 runs, getting her first ever 50 and then 100.

Carol Skosana made 39 runs.

KwaThema scored 408 runs against the 39 runs from the Duduza team.

“Duduza is a very young development team and I am sure they learned a lot,” says KwaThema Women’s cricket team manager, Marie Kruger-Woest.
