Church donates school shoes to children in KwaThema

KwaThema - More than 50 children from different schools in KwaThema received brand new school shoes on Sunday.

The shoes were donated by members of the KwaThema Central Methodist Church.

Speaking on behalf of the church, Issy Malepe says the donation is to encourage children to take their education seriously.

He says because church members are also part of the community, it is the church’s responsibility to ensure children have school uniforms.

Malepe promises the church will continue to work towards creating a better future for the young people of Kwatsaduza.

He challenged the children to work hard and focus on their studies so they can get the best results at the end of the year.

He concludes by appealing to parents to get involved in their children’s education.

“Children need to know that the community, including their parents, are there when they need them.”says Malepe.
