Retired principal dies

KwaThema- Margaret Thembeni Skosana died after a short illness, on July 12.

She was 76 years old.

Skosana was born on May 12, 1939, in Nyanyadu, KwaZulu-Natal.

After completing standard seven, she completed her teacher’s course in 1957.

She started teaching in 1958, at Delmas Community School and, in 1963, she taught at Masimini Primary School, moving on to teach at Zithembeni Primary School, in 1971.

In 1976 she completed her senior certificate at Tlakula Secondary School and furthered her studies through Vista University and Unisa, where she completed her degree in 1996.

Skosana was the principal of Zithembeni Primary School from 1993 till 1999, when she retired.

She is survived by her husband, Alfred Skosana, her two daughters, Lindi Zimu and Gasta Mashiane, and her only son, Lucky Zimu.

The funeral service will be held at 7am, at the Republican Trinity Church, in Mdebuka Street.

The cortege will leave at 9.30am for the Old Cemetery (Rest in Peace).
