According to EMPD spokesman Chief Supt Wilfred Kgasago, four hijackers confronted the car’s owner at around 6.30pm at an address in Geduld last Tuesday, and pushed him out the car before driving off.
He says the victim rushed to the Springs police station to report the crime.
The car was found shortly afterwards by metro police officers at the entrance of the KwaThema Hostel, near Habedi Street.
No arrests have been made and police are investigating a case of hijacking.
