Ayoba invites interested girls to join the team

The soccer team was formed in March and plays in the Ekurhuleni Women’s Regional League.

According to the team’s technical director, Innocent Mayoyo, the team is looking for girls between the ages of 14 and 19.

He says the aim of forming the team was to ensure the sport does not die out in the township and to expose female soccer skills.

“I believe there are young girls in Kwatsaduza who dream of playing in the national girls’ team one day, but have no one to mentor or train them,” says Mayoyo.

He says girls who are interested in joining the team, should visit the KwaThema Extension Two Legacy Grounds along September Street, during the team’s training sessions at 9am, Monday to Friday.
