Robbers make off with new shoes and clothes

KwaThema - A 20-year-old man was robbed of his new shoes and clothes on Saturday.

KwaThema police spokesman Capt Mandla Phori says the victim was walking alone along Phoswayo Street when he was approached by two armed men.

He says the robbers demanded cash from the man before robbing him of his brand new shoes and clothes, which were inside a plastic bag.

Phori adds that the robbers then fled the scene.

One of them, however, was later arrested.

He faces a charge of robbery and will appear in the KwaThema Magistrate Court.
