Ayoba has a new girls’ team

Ace Auto Ayoba introduces its new girls' soccer team.

The team has been in existence for a week, but is already preparing for its first Ekurhuleni women’s regional league game.

The girls are between the ages of 14 and 19 years.

Speaking on behalf of the players, Boitumelo Mnguni (18) said they joined Ayoba because of their love for soccer.

She said her dream is to play in the Ekurhuleni league, then proceed to the next level as a professional footballer.

“I dream of playing internationally after ensuring that I have first made my country proud,” said Boitumelo, adding that being part of Ayoba means finding a new family.

She explained that all the players in the team are united and respect each other.

Team manager, Lindi Makhathini said she has confidence in her team.

“I have noticed that my girls do not only have a love for football, but they also have the talent to be the stars of soccer in the future,” said Makhathini.

To see women’s football talent, be at the Geluksdal Stadium where the team will be playing at 11am tomorrow (Saturday).
