New Health and Education Club in Kwatsaduza

Kwatsaduza has a new Health Education Club that promotes maintaining a healthy diet and lifestyle.

Chairperson of the Health Club Thami Mthwethwa says he formed the club after he saw an increase of alcohol abuse during the festive season last year.

He says one of the things they promote is healthy living and having fun.
Mthethwa says young people need to stop associating fun with substance abuse.
He urges anyone interested in joining the club to attend their first annual general meeting.
Deputy Chairperson of the Club Tyson Sillah says people must not rely on the government for such programs and instead create their own.
He says they will be working with different institutions and encouraging members to donate blood so they will be able to know their blood groups.
He says they march around different places in Kwatsaduza every Sunday at 5.30pm.
Sillah says anyone interested in joining them can meet up with them outside Bulithando Park in Kgaswane street.
