Sipho gets the best player trophy
Makgure was crowned the best player of the season.
After playing in many electrifying games during the Tsamaya League 2014 season, Sipho Makgure was given the best player of the season trophy on Sunday at the Tlakula Ground.
For the second time, City Royals’ player stood out from all the other players in the league.
The trophy which Makgure will always look at and be proud of is sponsored by one of the league officials, Dumisani KaDlamini.
Dlamini explained that he chose Makgure because of the dedication and discipline he showed towards the league officials and the players as well as the referees.
He said he has no doubt that Makgure deserves the trophy.
When asked about his feelings regarding the trophy, Makgure said, even though he worked hard, he did not expect to receive the trophy.
“I am a hard worker and happy that there are people who recognise my work,” he said.
He then encouraged other players in the league to continue playing with dedication and passion to motivate young players.
