KwaThema community patrollers arrested a suspect for possession of drugs.
The suspect was arrested in KwaThema’s Bacelorna section on Thursday, January 15 at around 11am.
Captain Mandla Phori of KwaThema police says the suspect was arrested by the community patrollers after they caught him in possession of Nyaope at Duduza Rank.
“The patrollers demanded that the man reveal to them from which drug dealer he bought the Nyaope,” said Phori.
The patrollers barged into the alleged drug dealer’s home and found him with 25 packets of Nyaope, 13 suspected stolen cellphones, dagga and more than R2 000 cash.
Phori says the suspect is expected to appear in KwaThema Magistrate Court on Monday.
