Child Welfare gets a jungle theme wall

The Springs and KwaThema Child Welfare Society has given a wall in their reception a face lift.

The gorgeous jungle theme wall at the reception area will give the impression of warmth and safety.

“Little feet of vulnerable children who are in desperate need of help are scared, and this wall will at least make them feel more at ease,” says Sanet van Moerkerken, the project manager.

David and Lene Kruger, a couple from Brakpan, share their services to the community every third month, and this time there art knowledge was put to use at the welfare offices in Twelfth Street.

Sanet says she was surprised when she saw the painted wall this morning (November 13).

“It is child friendly and will definitely have a calming effect on the children.”

She adds this is only one step towards better understanding and they are grateful for the support given to them.

Lene and David has completed the first step to help upgrade the premises of Springs and KwaThema Child Welfare Society.

The second step is the reparations needed to their leaking roof.

They organisation is selling firelighters to raise funds specifically towards the repair of the roof.
