Police warn about job scam

The Springs police are warning Springs and Kwatsaduza residents about a job scam

Captain Johannes Ramphora of the Springs police says the police have received a number of reports from residents about a man who robs them of their money in the name of finding them employment.

He says through investigations, it was discovered that the suspect is targeting Duduza residents.

Ramphora explains that the suspect demands R1 500 from his victims promising to get them jobs as drivers at different factories in and around Springs.

“The victims are again convinced to pay another R1 500 on a day said to be set for a job interview by the suspect,” added Ramphora.

No arrest has been made and the police are investigating the matter.

If you know where the suspect is, call the Springs police on 011 365 5700.
