Police have arrested two people in connection with the murder of Bafana Bafana captain Senzo Meyiwa at his pop-star girlfriend’s home, the SABC reported on Wednesday.
Meyiwa was shot dead late on Sunday at Kelly Khumalo’s house in Vosloorus.
According to the SABC, “The two men were being held for questioning after they were arrested in Nongoma, in KwaZulu-Natal.”
Police in Johannesburg could not immediately confirm the arrest.
It is believed that the suspects were arrested following a tip-off by members of the public.
Meyiwa will be buried in Umlazi, his home town, on Saturday November 1.
