Springs police spokesman Captain Johannes Ramphora says the police who were patrolling at Gugulethu/Everest informal settlement on October 9 at around 8.35pm rushed to the shooting scene.
He says the victims explained that they heard gun shots while inside their shack and rushed outside to check what was happening when they were shot.
The victims were shot in the legs and the suspects run away.
“The motive for the shooting is still unknown and the police are investigating a case of attempted murder,” says Ramphora.
No arrests have been made.
