Young boxers to keep boxing alive

The up and coming Kwatsaduza boxers say not losing a fight is their slogan.

About 16 young boxers from the Geo Maroon Boxing Club have recently been fighting in different

tournaments and none of them have lost a fight.

They fought during the Masakhane games held in Germiston last month and, again each one of them won a

fight when recently fighting during the Bert Collins Boxing tournament.

One of the boxers, Siyabulela Vikisi (12) says since he joined the club three years ago, he has never lose a fight.

“I know that when I grow up, I will not just be boxer but the one who will register only wins under my name,” says a confident Siya.

Coach and the founder of the Geo Maroon, Themba Zulu says, he is also confident that his boys will grow up to be the best boxers in the country.

He says he started the boxing development team to ensure that boxing continues to live in Kwatsaduza.

“I have no doubt that my young boys will continue lifting high the flag of boxing in KwaThema,” says Zulu.

Coach Zulu thanks the parents of these young boxers for all their support of his training.

He invites anyone who is interested in joining the club to contact him on 08317 6456.
