No-one wants a defeat

The game between Verbal Warning and the City Royals ended with an overall score of 1-1

The Tsamaya Super 12 Cup game between Verbal Warning and City Royals on Sunday was one of the toughest games of the day.

The blowing wind became stronger just a few minutes after the start of the game.

The freezing weather did not chase away the spectators who came out in large numbers and filled the Tlakula Ground supporters’ stands to give support to their teams.

The first goal of the game was put behind the net by Verbal Warning’s Mzobo Nkosi.

The game continued with Verbal Warning playing hard not to allow the opponent to score an equalising goal while Royals also strengthened its defence to prevent another goal from being scored.

The referee blew the whistle to end the first half of the game and Verbal Warning was leading by 1-0.

Calling the players back onto the pitch was a struggle for the referee as he blew his whistle more than five times but both team players were still busy with their coaches.

After he blew the whistle for the seventh time, the players then went back to play the second half of the game.

The substitute made by City Royals worked for them as Molefe Gumede scored an equalising goal for the team.

The game ended with no team defeated but with an overall score of 1-1.
