Lucky birds not so lucky

The Ekurhuleni Regional League game played at the KwaThema Sports Complex between the Lucky Birds and Valencia saw Valencia taking home the victory.

The soccer fans who were not at the sports complex on Sunday missed to witness the soccer skills showed by the Valencia U/15 team on the field.

Valencia’s Prince Ngwenya put the first and the last goal of the game behind the net within 20 minutes after the start of the first half.

Valencia has already played ten games and is sitting in the second position of the league.

Eagerness to register a goal to their name was shown on the faces of the players of the Lucky Birds, however they did not manage to score a single goal.

The first half ended with Valencia in the lead.

During the first 15 minutes of the second half, Valencia players seemed to have lost their focus and hunger for a goal.

The game continued with no team scoring a goal until the referee blew the whistle to end the game.

Valencia won by 1-0 beating the Vooslorus team, the Lucky Birds.
