Captain Johannes Ramphora of the Springs police says the victim was alone in the shack when she heard a knock on the door during the early hours on Sunday.
He says the victim opened the door thinking that it was her landlord but instead an unknown man armed with a screwdriver stormed inside.
“The man demanded cash and a cell phone before instructing the victim to take off her clothes and raping her,” says Ramphora.
No arrest has been made and the police are still looking for the suspect.
