Kwa Thema Methodist Church Young Men’s Guild donated school uniforms and shoes to Sechaba and Theo Twala primary schools.

According to Issy Malepe, the department of development and social responsibility of the church, each of the members bought at least one pair of school shoes to donate.

“As men, we take our positions as leaders and providers in the community. We are aware that there are children who have nothing, and this gesture will ensure that none of the children feels left out,” he explained.

“After visiting the schools we learned that some of the children only eat at school because they have nothing at home. This has prompted us to make another commitment,” he added.

Malepe said that in the next round of donations, they will provide food hampers of mealie meal and tinned goods to the learners who need it most.
