Foundation makes an impact with donation

The initiative was well-received by the teachers, principals and the 105 learners who received school jerseys, golf shirts and school shoes.

Duduza – The Jobe Foundation donated school uniforms to seven schools in Duduza on July 16.

The initiative was well-received by the teachers, principals and the 105 learners who received school jerseys, golf shirts and school shoes.

“Earlier this year, we learned of a young boy who was not attending school because his family could not afford to buy him a school uniform. We did our research as an organisation and discovered many learners do not have proper uniforms,” said Sizwe Nqubezelo, the CFO of Jobe Foundation.

Nqubezelo highlighted the significance of initiatives aimed at helping learners from underprivileged homes.

“They don’t all come from the same background; some parents cannot afford to buy uniforms. There is no need for them to miss school and have their education affected when we can assist them,” he said.

He encouraged the community to help these learners.

“The community should start assisting the learners with anything they can do, even homework after school, which will go a long way,” he concluded.
