Nhlanhla aims for greatness with EP

Nhlanhla Keliko’s music focuses on his life as a musician and part of the youth of SA.

Tsakani – Nhlanhla Keliko (25), popularly known as 16 Offence, is about to release his first EP called Iksasa Lam.

The Tsakani-based artist said his EP reflects his life journey and determination to succeed. His love for Afro-pop and Afro-soul inspired him to release an EP.

“The SA artist Emtee inspired my love for Afro-pop. His music reflects his life, his journey and his achievements.

“I am not very social, so I express myself through music. My verses reflect every phase of my life,” he said.

Keliko said he is ready to take over the world of Afro-pop and Afro-soul with his EP.

“People around me have received my music very well. That has been a source of inspiration for my EP.

“The EP will be released on June 7. It will have four songs, giving my fans calmness and a sense of direction.

“The EP gives insight into my future, goals and what I stand for. That is why I titled my EP Iksasa Lam.

“The songs on my EP paint a vivid picture of my aspirations in life,” added Keliko.

Keliko said his music could motivate the youth and provide valuable life lessons.

“The title of each song on my EP has meaning. The first song is titled Amen – it provides prayer and healing. Impumelelo provides strength and prosperity.

“Amazulu is dedicated to success and achieving big things. The last song is dedicated to strong, solid friendships and is titled Umngani Wakho,” elaborated Keliko.

Keliko said he aims for positive fan feedback and wants to educate and entertain the youth through his music.
