Rockville Men’s Forum set to host Wellness Day

“We want to bring change and fix the wrong that is happening in Rockville."

Rockville Men’s Forum will hold a Wellness Day on March 23 at Le Rock (next to Tsakane Cemetery) at 09:00.

According to the licence communications officer, Kenny Nkambule from the forum, the Department of Health will be available to provide screening and check-ups for attendees. Community members are invited to attend and entrance is free.

The day’s activities will include a fun walk and fun run of 5km as well as a six-aside soccer tournament.

“The University of Witwatersrand will provide a mobile clinic with doctors and nurses who will be available to discuss medical issues and help with screening people,” Nkambule said.

“Law practitioners and life coaches will be present to provide their services to the attendees.

“We formed this Men’s Forum because of the stigma of saying Rockville is corrupt and full of drug and alcohol abuse. We want to write a new chapter and we are starting afresh.”

Food and beverages will be sold at the venue.
