Duduza – The youth of Duduza and the Ward 87 Youth Desk hosted a youth in business workshop on February 21 at the Duduza CCC Auditorium.
Andries ‘The inventor’ Mokoena, the zonal HoD of sports, arts and culture in Duduza and a ward committee member (Youth Desk) said, “The purpose of the workshop is to empower the youth in business and other local business with fundamental business knowledge for the start-ups to avoid unnecessary costs.”
He said this was also to assist the entrepreneurs with relevant business processes and the necessary compliance documentation.
“We also want to assist them in completing forms for business procurement and funding opportunities within the mainstream businesses.
The workshop was attended by 44 young people, with speakers from the Small Enterprise Development Agency (SEDA) and the National Youth Development Agency (NYDA).
