Tsakani – Seventeen-year-old Tshepiso Modipa’s young acting career is already yielding great results.
The Tsakane Secondary School learner recently landed a major role on the TV drama, House of Zwide.
“I started acting in 2020. I was doing theatre with local productions. In 2021 I was in an award-winning film called Ubulingiswa,” he explained.
Tshepiso has also been in a few YouTube series.
“I believe that the career growth I am experiencing is a result of hard work, dedication and consistency. I attend acting classes and workshops. But most of all, I believe in myself,” he added.
In House of Zwide, Tshepiso plays young Kopano. In the storyline, Kopano joins forces with Nandiph on a mission to destroy the Zwide family.
Kopano’s financial moves add a new layer of complexity, potentially causing significant trouble, particularly for Nkosi Zwide.
“It has been such a great experience to share a room with legendary actors and an established production company. It has been nothing short of amazing,” he said.
The Grade 12 learner said his long-term goals include staying true to his vision and values.
“I want to establish a strong repertoire as a reliable and professional actor. I want to work on a variety of projects, not only nationally but internationally as well,” he added.
Tshepiso encourages aspiring actors to believe in themselves, be eager to learn, and focus on their journey.
