Ezenkosi use home advantage to secure a win

Cosmos played without six regular players.

Duduza – A new coach was beaten by experience when SK FC lost to Jomo Cosmos (Ezenkosi) at the Duduza Stadium on Sunday.

The game saw the first goal scored through a penalty by Bafana Tshawe after 15 minutes into the game at an advantage for Ezenkosi.

SK FC coach Robson Chisango said, “We played very well. I also have to thank my players for the way they applied themselves. We had a game plan, stuck to it, created chances but, unfortunately, could not score.”

Chisango was unhappy with the referee’s judgment during the penalty because Tshawe had a double kick after slipping on the first kick.

“There is no way there can be a double kick as it is not allowed, but the referee can’t explain it.

“We could have gone to halftime 0-0, but I am happy with how the boys played because I only coached them for two days before this game,” Chisango said.

He said he looks forward to future games. During the second half, SK fought hard to prevent Ezenkosi from scoring again while they also tried to.

Ezenkosi scored their second goal after 75 minutes with a delivery from Zuko Qabuza.

Ezenkosi coach Jomo Sono said, “At least for the first time, we scored two. We always score one.”

Sono said they played without six regular players because some are serving suspensions and others are injured.

“I had to field younger players who are always on the bench, and I am happy with their performance because they showed talent,” he concluded.
