Body found in Duduza

A case of unnatural death is under investigation.

Duduza – The community of John Dube is reeling with shock and fear after the body of an unknown man was found burnt on Monday.

A resident found the body in an open veld next to Chance Children’s Home. The severely burnt body had only the legs showing, identifying it as an African person.

Duduza Police spokesperson Sergeant Harry Manaka said the police were called to the scene, and a case of unnatural death was opened.

“We are calling on residents with missing family members to come forward to help identify the body,” he said.

The police also call for anyone with information about the death of the person to contact the Duduza SAPS on 011 810 6093.
