Tsakani – Siphesihle Katlego Mkhize (eight), a Grade Two learner at Thuthukanisizwe Primary School, was a top achiever in his grade at this year’s school awards.
Mkhize received five awards for outstanding performances in four subjects and the overall Grade Two top achiever award.
He received awards for English, maths, Isizulu and life skills.
Mkhize’s grandmother, Carrol Tshehla, said she was proud of how he performed and appreciated the efforts of teachers.
“The teachers work hard to give our children a good education, and it shows through the results,” Tshehla said.
