Help Sparks compete in African Athletics Competition

The funds will go towards his transportation and accommodation for and during the preparation of the competition.

Kwa-Thema – Seasoned long-distance runner Sparks Moagi is raising funds towards competing in the 14th Open African Masters Athletics Track and Field Championships.

He was selected to be one of the runners representing the country. The fun run and walk will be held on Saturday at the corner of Kotane and Thema roads.

The 10km fun run/walk will kick off at 07:00 while the 1.5km run for minors will start at 08:00. Registration will open from 17:00 on Friday and 06:00 on Saturday.

Registration for minors is R10 while adults will contribute R30. The competition will be held on November 16, 17 and 18 in Tshwane at Pilditch Stadium.

The funds will go towards his transportation and accommodation for and during the preparation of the competition.

Moagi said he travels between Kwa-Thema, Senawana Stadium and Pilditch Stadium daily for training.

“Unfortunately I cannot afford this and depend on friends and family. I am pleading with anyone who can help to donate the little they have and even participate in the fundraising fun run and walk,” he added.
