Ace Auto Ayoba wins school holiday tournament
The team walked away with gold medals, soccer kits and bibs, while Reunion FC received silver medals and a jersey.
Kwatsaduza – The U13 Ace Auto Ayoba team were crowned winners of the U13 World Cup Kasi Kids Games held on Monday at the Malandela Soccer Ground.
The tournament kicked off last Monday, and the finals were on Monday, the last day of the school holidays.
The Ward 85 committee, in collaboration with PMS Events Management, hosted the event, and 13 teams participated.
Event organiser Thuso Mtshweni said they decided to host the tournament to keep the young players off the streets during school holidays.
“This is also an opportunity to display their talent on the ground.
“We are grooming future international stars, and through these games, we were able to identify talent and nurture it,” he said.
Ace Auto Ayoba from Kwa-Thema faced Reunion FC from Brakpan and won the match 2-1.
The team walked away with gold medals, soccer kits and bibs, while Reunion FC received silver medals and a jersey.
In position three, Junior Rabbit FC from Tsakani received bronze medals and a jersey.
