Geluksdal – EMPD Social Crime Prevention Unit officers continued their talks on road safety to young children at the Pure Angelic Pre-school in Geluksdal on Tuesday.
EMPD spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Kelebogile Thepa said, “Officers made means to use mechanisms such as learning through play, dance, and song to capture the attention and participation of the toddlers in educating them on road safety and children in traffic.
“They placed a stern focus on topics such as talking to and taking sweets from strangers, even if it is members from their community. The children showed great excitement as they met their heroes in uniform and could say what they wished to become when grown up.”
She said the EMPD will continue to reach out while the root is still young, to educate children on road safety throughout the City of Ekurhuleni.
