Kwa-Thema – Fred Habedi Primary School female teachers’ netball team was crowned Gauteng East Champions after beating Menzi Primary school 12-11 in the finals at Selpark Primary Sporting field in a competition that took place recently.
Fred Hadebi qualified after winning against Job Maseko Primary Primary School in the semis, while Menzi Primary beat Khangezile Primary School.
The tournament was organised by the Gauteng East Department of Education to end term three to assist educators with wellness.
The tournament focused on soccer and netball for all interested schools, both primary and secondary.
