Kutlwano Social Organisation walked 10km to raise funds

KUSO cares for the needy.

Kwa-Thema – Kutlwano Social Organisation (KUSO) hosted its annual wellness and heritage event at the Kwa-Thema Stadium on Sunday.

The day was commemorated under the theme ‘Celebrating our cultural diversity in a democratic South Africa’.

The day started with a 10km fun walk/run, a raffle and later a Heritage Day festival with live music. There was also a jumping castle for the young ones.

Musi Zondo, KUSO’s SRAC (Sports, Recreation, Arts and Culture) portfolio head said: “The purpose is to raise funds for the needy.

“We are a social club which assists the community where we can. We are trying to get funds so we can start with our year plan.”

Attendees were provided with caps, T-shirts, squeeze bottles, medals and food. Zondo said he appreciates the support from the community as their support will help KUSO in fulfilling their duties, helping the needy.

The organisation’s chairperson, Dali Mofokeng said, “Our slogan is ‘We Care’, so we give back to communities.”

Mofokeng said they are happy with the event as they will be able to do what they do best.
