Nkosana Radebe has picked up the pieces of his life

Helping young people stay clear of drugs.

Kwa-Thema – Recovering addict, Nkosana Radebe ka Galela is volunteering at the Thabang Xaba Foundation as a life skills facilitator.

The foundation has been offering Life Skill Classes from Monday to Wednesday at the Selope Thema Clinic and from Thursday at Ext Eight in Langaville.

The foundation founder, Thabang Xaba said the programme (ForeverMina) focuses on empowering the youth of Kwa-Thema and Langaville.

“We will tackle issues of teenage and unplanned pregnancies, drug and substance abuse and HIV and STIs .

“ We are concerned about some of the social ills in our community and want to find ways to fight them in bringing change in our community,” he added

The programme will run till the end of September when the foundation hosts the Mr and Miss Kwa-Thema Pageant.

Radebe said his past experiences can help in cautioning the youth about the dangers of drugs: “ I have been there and lived to tell the tale”.

“Most young people need to hear from those with past and personal experience to help them make better choices,” he said.

Radebe said those who attend the programme will receive certificates.
