Kwatsaduza residents are encouraged to apply for IDs at mobile offices

The first issuance of IDs includes school-going learners 16 years and older.

Kwatsaduza – Residents are encouraged to utilise the mobile Home Affairs services, which will be rolled out in the townships.

Residents will be allowed to apply for smart ID cards, temporary identity certificates, birth registration and late registrations of birth.

The first issuance of IDs includes school-going learners 16 years and older. They are not required to pay.

Ward 86 Clr Nsizwa Mekgwe said as part of the goal set by the Minister of Home Affairs Aaron Motswaledi to provide universal access to legal identity by the year 2030, they decided to take the opportunity to bring the services closer to the people.

“We are encouraging residents to use the services,” he said.

On August 17, the services will be rolled out at the Duduza Church Hall in Tsakani from 09:00 to 16:00.

On August 22, the department will be located in Bluegumview in Ext 15.

On August 23, they will be stationed in Ext 17 in Tsakani. Cash services will not be offered during this initiative.
