Junior teams battle it out to win the league
The Early Birds flew with strong wings on Saturday.
Kwa-Thema – The Springs LFA junior league continued on Saturday at grounds A to D of the Kwa-Thema Sports Complex.
The results for U11 A were:
- Junior Spinners FC 0 – 2 Mighty Falcons FC
- Jealous Down FC 2 – 1 Real Barcelona FC
- Bolton Villa FC 4 – 1 Sanders United FC
- Black Fighters FC 4 – 3 Springs Home Sweepers FC
- Nkele Smiling Bees 0 – 0 TP Football FC
- Early Birds 6 – 2 Valencia FC
- Ace Auto Ayoba 2 – 0 XI Experience FC.
Real Barcelona lost their second game after winning their first game of the season when they thrashed Mighty Falcons by 5-1.
The Falcons returned stronger as they beat the Spinners. Sanders United dropped the ball as they lost their second game of the season.
Junior Spinners, Springs Home Sweepers, Valencia FC and XI Experience kept their loser status as they all lost their second games.
Jealous Down, Black Fighters and Ace Auto Ayoba kept their winning status. TP Football and Nkele Smiling Bees played to a 0-0 draw after winning their first games.
Bolton Villa and the Early Birds also returned stronger, winning their second games with trashing scores.
U11 B:
- Kgotso Stars 2 – 0 Redeem United FC
- Eleven Attackers 1 – 1 Sberia FC
- Clever Boys FC 2 – 2 Selcourt Estate
- Barcelona All Nation FC 4 – 3 Senzumlando FC
- Umlilo FC 0 – 2 Sparrows FC
- Abafana be Style 0 – 2 Tigers United.
LFA competition and registration administrator Tebogo Mdhluli said the junior league log would be available after Saturday’s games, as all teams will have played three matches.
