Tsamaya Top 8 tournament takes place on Sunday

Teams to battle for promotion into the Tsamaya League

Kwatsaduza – Tsamaya Masters held a Top Eight Cup launch on Saturday at Marothi’s Place.

The cup games continues on Sunday at the Ntokozweni and Tlakula grounds.

The tournament fixtures:
• At Tlakula, Amajuba Masters take on Makhgwaba Masters at noon, while Verbal Warning Masters go head-to-head with Rekaofela Masters at 13:00.

• At Ntokozweni, RDP Masters face Tsakane Masters at noon. Amaubber Masters go up against City Royals Masters at 13:00.

Playoffs on the day will see four teams play as curtain raisers for the Top Eight tournament.

The teams are All Nations Masters, Amadamara Masters, Umzumbe Masters and Ayeye Masters. They will battle for promotion into the Tsamaya Masters League.

Tsamaya’s general treasurer Dumisani Dlamini said, “This tournament is an opening of our league and is usually used by teams to see, recruit and register new players for the league.

“Teams can use this opportunity to take players they deem strong from other teams to join theirs,” said Dlamini.

The winners will walk away with a sheep, a floating trophy and 20 gold medals, while the runners-up will walk away with 20 silver medals.

RDP Masters will defend the title.
