Water supply interruption hits parts of Brakpan and Tsakani

The City of Ekurhuleni will deploy water tankers to areas affected by water supply issues in parts of Tsakani and Brakpan.

According to the City, Rand Water’s Mapleton system is deteriorating, affecting the water supply.

The municipality stated that current reservoir levels as of January 27 are:

• Brakpan 1 = 8%

• Brakpan 2 = 15%

• Brakpan 3 = 0 %.

The situation has resulted in low to no water in Tsakani, Langaville, Geluksdal, Labore and Withok Estates.
