Ward 79 sports committee member wants teams in his ward to be recognised

Ward committee member got donations for teams in the ward

Kwatsaduza – Ward 79 committee member heading sports, arts and culture, Saki Kgapola, went out to get sponsors for teams in his ward. Amos Sibiya of Quality Vehicle Testing Station donated five soccer balls and two netball balls.

Shine on us Football Club Academy will be given three of the five soccer balls, while two will be taken to Real Barcelona FC.

The netball team, which hasn’t been named as it is still new, was given one ball and a netball pole and one other ball will be kept by Kgapola for when the team starts playing games.

Shine on us coach Vusi Radinne said, “We are happy and grateful. Our team has the U13 and U15 divisions and we also have a girls’ team.

“We are trying to remove children from the streets and shift focus from drugs and other bad things which take place in our streets.

“Our team still doesn’t have a soccer jersey and we are open to donations. Those who would like to donate may contact Kgapola.”

“First and foremost I would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas, especially those from Kwatsaduza and Ward 79.

“This is the beginning of great things. I would like to thank Sibiya for his donation and encourage other businesses to donate as well.”

The donation took place at Ntokozweni Ground in Kwa-Thema on Thursday.
