Local supporters are ready for Black Label Cup

Kaizer Chiefs, Orlando Pirates, Amazulu and Mamelodi Sundowns teams to compete in a spectacular.

Kwatsaduza – Local soccer supporters are in high spirits for the upcoming Black Label Cup to be played on Saturday.

The cup championship will see Sundowns locking horns with AmaZulu in the first semi-final. It will be followed by the Soweto Derby between Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs.

Orlando Pirates supporter Calfonia Moyane believes her team will be crowned winners.

“I have seen how the team has been playing in the last weeks. I believe they must play the 4 4 2 formations with the combination of Kermit Erasmus and Monnapule Saleng.

“My money is on Orlando Pirates winning 2-1,” she added.

Mamelodi Sundowns supporter Mmeselane Rammushu said they are looking forward to the finals with Kaizer Chiefs.

“The first game with Amazulu FC will be a warm-up to allow the Soweto giants to sort themselves out to make way for Mamelodi Sundowns. We will be walking away as champions,” he added.

Kaizer Chiefs supporter Teka Matsepane said they are hoping to meet with Mamelodi Sundowns in the finals.

“In 1991, the teams went head to head in the Iwisa Spectacular, with Cheif winning 1-0 courtesy of a Benedict Masinga goal. We are hoping to win 2-0 come this weekend,” he added.
